Blair, Kansas Territory

Blair, a post-hamlet of Doniphan county, is located in Washington township, on the St. Joseph & Grand Island railroad, 4 miles from Wathena and about 7 east of Troy, the county seat. The population in 1910 was 50.

SIXTY-FIFTH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

Mr. and Mrs. Mc Clelland were married in St. Joseph, Mo., Decem- ber 12, 1879.  Mr. Mc Clelland is the   son of Ephriam and Elizabeth Mc- Clelland who came to Kansas and homesteaded the land where the   old Inn stood, four and one-half  miles east of Troy.  This old land-mark was torn down a few years  ago.  Mr. Mc Clelland was born Jan-uary 6, 1858 in a log cabin on this  place before his father had built     the inn.   The Inn was built from native lumber cut and sawed and built by Ephriam Mc Clelland, who was a carpenter.
